Raine Falls Trail
Raine Falls is a popular salmon viewing site located in the Rogue National Wild and Scenic River about a mile and a half from the trailhead on the road from Galice. Vistas of the Rogue River in craggy canyons are seen in many locations along the trail and during the fall when salmon are migrating up the river makes the hike an easy favorite. Hikers should not expect to see fish jumping during times when fish are not spawning. The hike is moderately strenuous for a distance of about one and a half miles (one way).

DIRECTIONS From Interstate 5, take Exit 61 and follow Merlin Road into the Scenic Rogue River. Drive about ten miles past Galice and look for the trailhead on the left immediately before crossing the Grave Creek Bridge over the Rogue River. From Wolf Creek Inn, turn left and drive about a fourth of a mile to the cement railroad bridge. Turn left after passing under the bridge and drive 15 miles to the bridge over the Rogue River. Cross the bridge and look for the trailhead on the right as you leave the bridge.
Suggested guides: The Rogue River Scenic Loop Drive provides directions to the trailhead and points out history, geology, parks, trails and other things you will pass on your drive through the Rogue National Wild and Scenic River corridor.
