Burned Timber Creek Falls

Waterfall on Burned Timber Creek

This is a quarter mile, moderate hike that follows the Taylor Creek Trail to a waterfall on Burned Timber Creek. Taylor Creek Trail is well maintained but to see the best view of the waterfall you need to follow narrow foot paths off the main trail.  These are not official trails but, rather, trails created by visitors who went to the points where the falls can be observed.

The first of these unofficial foot paths goes to the left at the point where the Taylor Creek Trail meets Burned Timber Creek and turns right to go into Burned Timber Creek Canyon. This trail is fairly short and takes you to a viewpoint above the falls. CAUTION: There is a sharp drop off at the view point; stay back from the edge of the canyon.

The second unofficial trail drops down to the left after Taylor Creek Trail crosses the bridge over Burned Timber Creek. This steep and challenging trail takes you to the bottom of the falls.
