Raine Falls Trail

Raine Falls is a popular salmon viewing site located on the Rogue National Wild and Scenic River. Spectacular vistas of the Rogue River rushing through craggy canyons makes the hike an easy favorite, especially interesting during the salmon spawning season when salmon migrate up the Rogue River. Hikers should not expect to see fish jumping during times when fish are not spawning.

The hike is moderately strenuous and hikers must stay alert along sections of the trail with sharp drop-offs and cliffs.

Directions ( Rogue River Scenic Loop Drive map )

From Grants Pass: Take Interstate 5 north about three miles to Exit 61. Turn left at the end of the off-ramp and drive 22 miles. Park before crossing the bridge over the Rogue River and look for the trailhead on the left.

From Wolf Creek:

From Wolf Creek Inn, turn left and drive about a fourth of a mile to the cement railroad bridge. Turn left after passing under the bridge and drive 15 miles to the bridge over the Rogue River. Cross the bridge and look for the trailhead on the right as you leave the bridge.
