Valley Girls Quilt Show
About
Mission: To showcase the quilting talents of the Illinois Valley, to promote the art and traditions of quilting, and to raise money for local youth programs.
Our group is not an actual quilt guild although members of our Committee belong to other “official” quilt groups in Josephine/Jackson counties. We meet throughout the year solely to plan for our quilt show. Anyone who has an interest in quilting and putting on the quilt show can participate by contacting someone on the contact page. We are always looking for people to work during the quilt show and to help sell tickets on our opportunity quilt.
Our quilt show is always the 3rd Friday and Saturday of October at the Illinois Valley Senior Center, 520 E. River St, Cave Junction. This year it is October 19, 20, 21 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and will be open from 10:00-4:00.
This years recipients of the show’s fund raising effort will be the Illinois Valley Boys & Girls and Friends of Jubliee Park (a community nonprofit working to build a new Little League field at Jubilee Park in Cave Junction). Past recipients, in addition to the I.V. Boys & Girls Club, have been S.M.A.R.T. (Start Making A Reader Today), Illinois Valley Little League, and the Illinois Valley High School Booster Club track project.
