There will be 2-3 work days for individuals who would like to help with the legacy work to restore the buildings at the historic Siskiyou Smokejumper Base, located at Illinois Valley Airport about four and a half miles south of Cave Junction. Work will include renovating the interior of the historic parachute loft, the oldest aerial firefighter parachute loft in the nation, and similar work in the historic administration office. There may also grounds work that needs to be done as well as painting.
