Details

Kathy Lombardo of the Illinois Valley Garden Club has more than 20 years of experience leading tours through the unusual botanical landscapes along Rough & Ready Creek. The tour is over generally level ground and much will be along a wheelchair accessible trail. There may be opportunities for going beyond the trail on dirt roads that can be rocky in places. Visitors who want to continue hiking to Seats Dam, a distance of about one mile from Highway 199, can do so at their leisure. Sturdy boots with ankle support are recommended for individuals interested in getting out and exploring this area.
